New year’s eve @Berlin

December 31st, 2005 by tripledes

Well folks another year ends, this time will be the first one I miss my mum’s dinner with my grandpas, uncles and so on. This year I’m @ Berlin cause the CCC congress.

A group of 15 people ( pof, Esteve, pancake and many more…), mostly from Barcelona, assisted to this interesting congress where many talks have been done about a wide variety of subjects. The only thing I could claim about is that speeches were not too much deep but the reason was obviously the time, 1h use not to be enough that’s why most of the 2h talks were much more interesting.

Another nice point on this congress was seeing the OpenBSD, NetBSD stands and Plan9 representation. The OpenBSD one was really impressive, they were giving posters away for free (so we picked as much as we like), selling all kinds of clothes (like t-shirts, coats, sweaters, etc) and Soekris boards…guess what? we’ve got one! pof and me are the proud owners of one of those shiny net4801-50. We’re now thinking about what will be installed on it and what will be its functions once we get to Barcelona.

Next January 2nd we’ll leave Berlin, then I will post again to show all my pictures about the congress, the city and all my new goods :) .

I wish you all have a really happy new year plenty of new gadgets and new challenges! Happy 2006 fellows!

SuperPass and SuperCard

December 18th, 2005 by tripledes

I’ve been playing lastly with SuperPass and SuperCard, two devices that allows to Nintendo DS owners to run homebrew code, GBA applications and much more.

But before buying it one must be aware of it doesn’t work with all NDS models, most online shops don’t tell about this and others just say uncompleted information (like link above) but I have found this web site with a little section about who needs to use the v2 of Passme (or Superpass2) which is fully compatible with newer Nintendo DS models.

Also if you plan to use dslinux is better getting SuperCard CF version because there’s already a built binary to download.
